What type of collector or buyer would find this website an exciting place to be?
We think you'd be a person with an independent frame of mind, someone who has the strength of character to make judgments on new and innovative art, someone whose aesthetic sensibility is important to who you are. You are not necessarily a follower.
So who are we? Haydn is a journalist who writes for the Irish Times on art, design and innovation. He's also written for the Times in London, the Wall St Journal and many more newspapers and magazines and he's been involved in technological innovation for twenty years.
Roos's background was originally in nursing but then in sales and marketing for global companies such as Proctor and Gamble and Baxter. She's from a family of theatre directors and actors and has been known to tread the boards herself as well as being an accomplished opera singer.
Together we've created the gallery in sunny South West Ireland but we also have a second gallery, Ten Cubed, in Second Life. There you can see all our artists and their art without having to travel.
Who are the artists? The majority of artists we exhibit are risk takers, artists who go out on a limb adapting new technologies to create great art. They also have a sense of history and of where technical innovation fits in the development of art practice. These are artists whose work we believe makes a substantial contribution to defining a new artistic practice around technology.
